Purpose & Project Summary

The Crete Youth In Governance Team focuses on developing leadership and life skills in Crete youth. Our goal is to help youth work in partnership with adults to improve their own lives and the community in which they live. Our young people have received the training to help them realize how youth and adults can work together to address community needs. They learned how to conduct community forums, and then put their new skills into practice at two forums.

 Youth and adult partners brainstorm together to identify priority issues for the community of Crete.

Later, core team members collaborated on a new project: a brochure. The Crete Youth in Governance Brochure illustrates in detail the goals and purpose of our group.
